Plate is operated by Efe Bakır and Gülenay Atmaca.

waitlist email

When you join the waitlist, we collect the email address you enter so we can contact you about beta places and product research. We do not sell the address or use it for unrelated marketing.

Google Firebase Hosting serves this website. Supabase receives and stores the waitlist submission. The website does not use advertising trackers. Optional analytics is described below.

Google Analytics loads only after you choose Allow analytics. You can change your choice using Cookie preferences. Declining will not affect the waitlist.

With your permission, analytics measures page visits and completed waitlist signups. We do not send your email address or form contents to Google. Only predefined campaign labels (such as Instagram or YouTube launch links) are used; unrecognized or missing labels remain unknown. We do not send full query strings, fragments or referring URLs to Google. With analytics consent, a campaign label may also be stored with your waitlist signup under the same retention and deletion rules as your email. Declining leaves signup attribution unknown. Your choice is stored in this browser for up to six months. A short-lived visit record in this tab prevents repeat counting across pages. Withdrawing consent stops future analytics and clears this browser’s analytics cookies and visit record; it does not erase previously collected records.

retention and deletion

Waiting, invited, bounced and suppressed waitlist records are deleted 12 months after collection. We handle valid deletion requests immediately by removing the reviewed live waitlist record.

current iPhone beta

You can keep a private diary on your iPhone without an account. Signing in with Apple creates an account; your profile name, username, bio and photo help other registered people recognize you. Supabase provides account, database and private photo storage services in the European Union.

You choose which plates to upload and who can see them. Friends sharing requires mutual acceptance; World sharing makes plates available in Discover. We store friend relationships to manage access. If you choose a city when sharing a plate, we store it with that plate. Optional phone verification and contact matching help you find people who opted in. Contact names and notes stay on your phone; lookup phone numbers are used temporarily and are not stored.

Deleting your account removes its remote profile, relationships, comments, likes and uploaded media. Available originals already saved on your phone remain private diary plates.

iPhone beta analytics

Plate uses Amplitude to understand how signed-in people use the diary. We send session times, deliberate plate browsing, successful local saves, onboarding step names and completion, with a pseudonymous account identifier and app version. Amplitude processes this analytics data in the United States.

We do not send diary photos, titles, notes, onboarding answers, viewed-person identifiers, contacts or location as analytics. Signed-out activity stays on the phone and is not merged after sign-in.

Our backend temporarily holds delivery records under its existing 90-day event-time limit. Amplitude event data is configured to expire 3 months after it receives the event; offline delivery can make this later than 90 days after the action.

When you delete your Plate account, we remove linked backend events, stop further delivery for that account and request deletion of its Amplitude data. Amplitude processes deletion requests within 30 days of receipt; Plate monitors the request until completion. We may keep non-identifying aggregate summaries afterward.

When the interview section comes near your screen, this website loads an embedded Calendly booking page. Calendly may receive information from your browser and handles the booking details you provide under its own privacy terms. You can also open the booking page directly.
